Minecraft.

Have you ever heard about it? In my opinion, there is no chance that you never heard about it. Games are mostly known as “fun”, “hobby” and “free-time” fillers in our lives. I don’t agree with that, and will explain why.

Me, and most of my friends, games changed our entire life. For some, it was in a bad direction, for others, it was the opposite. From my side, Minecraft made me who I am. You know, as an 20+ years old adult (I stopped increasing my age at 20), it may sound funny but my entrepreneurship, my creativity, my urge to create new things came from Minecraft. When I was 10, I remember my first online Minecraft faction server, in todays standarts, it was kinda pay 2 win but remember, I was just 10 years old.

Weird enough, that server was a huge hit, I got lots of friends from that server, I earned so insane amount of money that I was able to buy a new computer for myself. Also, I found one of my best friends thanks to that server.

What was different about Minecraft? Graphics? No chance. Content? It takes several hours to beat the normal game, so no. Accessability? When I was 10, there were no console editions, Android & iOS versions of Minecraft, and still it was one of the best games for the most, so that’s also a no. Then what was so great and awesome about Minecraft that stole our full attention and love towards it? For me, the answer was creativity and unlimited possibilities.

Minecraft has procedural world generation, also has “unlimited” map size. It’s not a funny joke, but with the easy mindset, it was possible for this game to have unlimited (when you reach – move different areas, it automatically creates new seeds at that time so there is no limit, at least in theory) map size and completely different experiences. This is only one part of this game. With blocks, you were able to create any structure that you can imagine. Not enough? Great.

Redstone changed whole gaming industry, but most people didn’t recognize it. It made possible to make “ENTIRE TECHNICAL DEVICE, EVEN A COMPUTER WITH BLOCK-MADE CPU” with Minecraft. I’m not talking about mods, I’m not talking about codeblocks, I’m talking about pure blocks, redstone, and system that works EXACTLY like real computer, and people even made snake games with it and played inside the Minecraft.

It’s still not the end tho. If you add plugin & mod & online game aspect of Minecraft, I don’t have much more words to describe this.

This game, changed my life, and most of the people I know, completely. I made great friendships, teached me how to be a better entrepreneurship, and most of all, it showed me the power of the creativity.

Here is my Minecraft dump. It’s my first Minecraft post but it won’t be the last.
